The aim of this project is to explore lost memories of visits to parks through the re-presentation of slides purchased from ebay and Wolverhampton Market. Whilst it may be possible to find out where or when these pictures were taken, the full story behind them is lost and many questions remain; who are the people in the images? what were they feeling?, how did these memories come to be offered for sale?
As we can see in the images, parks hold many memories; from days out with the family to parades that bought the whole community together. These physical objects have existed for approximately 50 years and are still viewable today.
It begs the question will people be looking at our pictures 50 years from now? Will they be easily accessible within digital archives, or will they be permanently lost by corrupted files?
