Lucie Williams - Conversational Typography

The history of Public Parks dates back to the Victorian era when they were considered a sanctuary from the demands of industry and city life; today the role of parks remains pretty much the same. The idea for this project came from the concept of the park as sanctuary, the sense of openness and freedom that people of all ages feel when within these boundaries. It is particularly true of conversations held in the park, including loud exclamations that can be had without observation or the bat of an eyelid; this work explores these conversations; re-presenting what is usually discussed in the unrestricted open spaces of the park.
